About this poster
Cornel Windlin has designed a huge number of posters, publications and typefaces for Swiss and international cultural institutions. In the 1990s he created several exhibition posters for the Zurich museum of design, including this one for an exhibition on the Swiss motorway. The photograph is by Nicolas Faure.

Cornel Windlin, born in 1964, studied graphic design at the Lucerne School of Art and Design (1983-87) and then worked for Neville Brody in London. He opened his own studio in 1991. Together with Stephan Müller, he set up Lineto.com to distribute their own typefaces through the Internet. He lives in Zurich and works as a designer and art director.
