Michael von Graffenried is one of the most famous Swiss photographers world wide. This imge is an advertising poster for the exhibition „In the Heart of Algeria“. His photographs are unique and famous, since for twelve years during the Civil War in Algeria, he was the only Western artist allowed to document everyday life situations. The graphic designer Werner Jeker created this sensational image for this exhibition an the Zurich Museum of Design in 2002. Jeker captured the essence and feel of the photograph extremely well creating an even more disturbing image with the bold lettering.

Werner Jeker was born in Mümliswil (canton of Solothurn) in 1944 and lives and works in Lausanne.
