About this poster
The Swiss association of beer brewers was founded in 1877. The two rare, impressive object posters by the famous Basel artist Peter Birkhäuser - one with a green and one with a red glove - promote the quality of Swiss beer in general, with a clear message and without any copy. This unique masterpiece in brilliant colours and rich in texture was designed in airbrush technique and lithographed by the Wolfensberger printers.

Peter BIRKHÄUSER was born in Basel in 1911 and died there in 1976. He studied at the Basel School of Design and apprenticed in the studio of Niklaus Stoecklin before setting out on his own as a poster designer.
