Viktor Rutz was a self-taught painter and graphic designer. From 1931 to 1950, he created more than 200 posters that gave him international recognition. In his compositions he worked with colourful lighting effects, and his posters for the food industry strikingly emphasised the product and its advantages. Rutz designed some amusing object posters for Stalden custard like this one from 1946
