High above the Lütschental valley in the Bernese Oberland, at about 1400 metres, lies the Schynige Platte, which is only accessible by a cogwheel railway. The view of the town of Interlaken between Lake Thun and Lake Brienz and the surrounding mountains is fantastic. This vintage poster from 1936 by Ernst Hodel shows beautiful Alpine flowers in bloom in front of a glorious panorama of the Bernese mountain range.
