About this poster
In less than one hour, you can climb by railway train the summit of Rochers de Naye at 2045 meters a.s.l. A real headland overlooking the town of Montreux, the Rochers-de-Naye ("Naye Rocks") provide the most spectacular view of Lake Geneva and its surrounding Alps. On a clear day, one can see the Eiger, the Mont-Blanc massif and Geneva's famous waterspout, the Jet d’Eau. Anton Reckziegel’s lithograph dates from 1899 and presents a Swiss landscape with romance, edelweiss and a traditional Swissness which hardly exists today.
