About this poster

Jean Carlu was one of the best-known and leading graphic designers of French poster art. His advertisement for Perrier was a huge success and the slogan “l’eau qui fait pschitt” was on everyone’s lips. In an interview in 1980 he said about this poster: "J'ai tout de suite été frappé par ce slogan d'ordre auditif et je me suis dit, c'est son son, il faudrai un symbole graphique qui approche le plus: un homme avec une oreille gigantesque. J'ai supprimé complètement le nom du produit Perrier, mais - l'eau qui fait pschitt."
