About this poster
Charles Loupot spent his youth in Switzerland and learned the art of lithography at J.E. Wolfensberger in Zurich. His first posters were created in Switzerland, like this rare and beautiful 1922 lithograph poster for the printing company and publishing house Orell Füssli. Loupot used illustrative effects, and elements of purism made his style strictly graphic.

Charles Loupot was born in Nice in 1892 and died in Paris in 1960. He spent his early years in Switzerland, attended the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Lausanne and learned all about lithography at J.E.
