About this poster
Viktor Rutz was a master of the object poster. He was highly skilled in making the product and its good qualities the principal focus in his advertisements. This is strikingly demonstrated in his design for the Lucky Strike cigarette brand which he designed in the 1950s.

Viktor Rutz was born in 1913 in St. Gallen. He was a self-taught painter and graphic designer. From 1931 to 1950, he created more than 200 posters that gave him international recognition.
