About this poster
For Jelmoli, one of Zurich’s largest department store, the famous Zurich artist Otto Baumberger designed quite a few extraordinary posters. To advertise the oriental rugs for sale at the Jelmoli store, Baumberger shows us an exotic rug weaver at work. This poster is very rare and is the first edition printed by Fretz Bros. in 1916. There is a later print from 1933 with altered text and logotype.
