About this poster
Gstaad (1010 m.a.s,) is appreciated by its old, stylish and discreet establishment, a most charming place in the Bernese Oberland with its chalet style hotels or chalet apartments. Gstaad is better known for its residents than for its skiing . Popular with non-skiers who like to play the „who‘s that in the sun glasses“ game as they sit around in restaurants, in the „piscine“ or stroll up and down the main street. The art deco poster dated 1929 shows the elegant swimming pool at the time and is a very rare stone lithograph by the famous and mostly appreciated Otto Baumberger.
