One of the few posters for the Swiss Cheese Union that was designed and displayed without any text whatsoever. The milk jug and cup with the typical red-with-white-dots design (a common feature on breakfast tables in the Alpine region at the time) and the holey Emmental cheese give this advertisement a very traditional Swiss feeling. A beautiful vintage poster by Viktor Rutz from the late 1930s that is sure to brighten up anyone’s Monday mornings!

Viktor Rutz was born in 1913 in St. Gallen. He was a self-taught painter and graphic designer. From 1931 to 1950, he created more than 200 posters that gave him international recognition.
