Quite a cute and remarkable object poster by the famous Basel poster designer Peter Birkhauser, who had a strong passion for a graphic style of precision and the difficult airbrush technique. Birkhäuser created a few remarkable and unique object posters for the shoe brand BATA during and after Second World War. Like most of Birkhauser‘s object posters, this one was printed in the lithograph technique and has brilliant colors and richness in textures which achieved to make the shoe look real. The Air-Ba summer sandalettes were produced in a rubber technique to use in the water and were famous in the fifthies to wear by children. The „Armbrust“ or „Arbalette“ logotype was used at the time to promote Swiss Quality.
