Albert Pfister was a Swiss artist who was born in Stäfa in 1884 and died in Erlenbach in 1978. He was a landscape painter, portraitist and theoretician. He was trained in Zurich and by the Parisian avant-garde. The style of Pfister’s paintings has much in common with that of the Fauvists.
