Toblerone, the famous Swiss milk chocolate bar with nougat, almonds and honey, is instantly recognisable by its unique prism shape. It was created by Theodor Tobler and Emil Baumann in Berne in 1908. The triangular shape of each Toblerone piece symbolises the Matterhorn, which is also depicted in the logo. There are many different variations of Toblerone chocolate bars. Today, around 300 kilometres of Toblerone are still produced daily in Bern Brünnen by 370 employees. From 2023, Toblerone will say goodbye to Swissness and move part of its production to Slovakia. The company headquarters will remain in Bern.
