Edi Hauri

Edi Hauri was born in Basel. He studied at the Basel School of Design and at the Academy of Arts in Berlin and travelled to England, France, Mexico and America. He worked as a graphic designer at Frobenius printing company in Basel, had his own studio from 1941 and was a member of the Swiss graphic designer association. Hauri’s work was quite diverse and included posters as well as stamps and maps. His style is characterised by bold colours.
