Alex Billeter
Alex Billeter lived in Neuchâtel from his birth in 1914 until his death in 1983. From 1932 to 1938, he studied at the ‘Kunstgewerbeschule’ (School of Arts and Crafts) in Zurich and then spent a year at the ‘Ecole Paul Colin’ in Paris. He worked as a freelance illustrator, graphic artist and poster designer and took part in exhibitions at the ‘Comptoir’ national fair in Lausanne. From 1962 to 1981, he was the director of the ‘Office du tourisme de Neuchâtel’.
