About this poster
This inviting and humorous poster is a rare original by the famous poster designer Herbert Leupin. A bright, open road curves its way in a generous S-shape through beautiful Swiss landscapes: green fields, mountains, lakes, and a shepherd boy waving a Swiss flag. This is a friendly advertisement for car trips through Switzerland from a time in which only a wealthy class of tourists could afford such a pleasure. This poster was printed in 1939 in various languages; the one shown here is the French version.
