About this poster
Lahco was founded in Baden as a knitwear and hosiery factory in 1922. Gaining success from the 1950s, it became the most successful Swiss swimwear label in Europe in the 1970s before declining again in the following decades. A change of ownership in 2003 has led the company back to its former glory. On this 1952 poster by Marcus Campbell, a pretty young woman models the latest bathing fashion – huge sunhat included.

After studying in London and Paris (Académie Colorassi) he worked as Art Director for Lord & Thomas Advertising in Paris from 1937 to 1940, then as Art Director for J.
