About this poster

Santa Caterina del Sasso Ballaro (actually Eremo di Santa Catarina del Sasso Ballara) was originally a hermitage and is difficult to access. Today it belongs to the Italian municipality of Leggiuno in the province of Varese and is located directly on Lake Maggiore. In the 13th century, the Dominicans converted the building into a monastery and the monastery became the destination of many pilgrimages.
